Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Director of the Tax Claim Bureau
Job duties include the following: Oversee the daily operations of the tax office and tax claims bureau with the ability to function as a liaison between the Tax assessment Office, and the District Tax Collectors. Ability to collect delinquent taxes, conduct tax sales, and supply tax collectors with proper real estate information. Monitor, collect, and properly distribute all tax monies collected.
Successful candidate shall possess a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 5 years of tax experience and working knowledge in real estate, assessments and tax law or equivalent combination of education and experience; 2 years of management experience preferred.
