Tax Supervisor is responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function. Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Tax Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. This is a Tax & Accounting Supervisor position working for one of the largest mid-Atlantic firms, but there’s a twist.
The technology and collaborative infrastructure are what you’d expect form a firm that’s consistently been rated as one of the Best Companies to work for, but you’ll be part of one of their smaller offices. Working and building relationships with clients in their real estate niche.
You’ll have direct exposure to Partners, who’ll take an interest in your growth and development. A quick glance at their profiles and you’ll see many have progressed through the ranks at the firm. You can do the same.
You’ll be working with Real Estate clients who’ll value your support and, unlike in some of the largest firms, you’ll have a broad remit which’ll include preparing Corporate, Partnership, Fiduciary and Individual returns. You’ll also handle year end closing too.
It would suit someone from a mid-sized or regional firm, who, ideally, has experience working with Real Estate clients. This isn’t essential though.
Salary will depend on how many years Public Accounting experience you have, but you’re looking at a range of $115,000 - $140,000.

You’ll be based in fabulous offices in near Woodbury, Long Island and can work on a hybrid basis.
