Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Tax Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Sisterson & Co. LLP, a regional CPA firm located in Pittsburgh, PA, is hiring qualified candidates to join our tax team. We are seeking local and remote candidates to serve as our next Tax Supervisor.
Tax Supervisors deliver quality tax services to clients of the firm. Supervisors review individual, trusts, non-profit, and business tax returns, with the ability to train and advise staff and senior level accountants on interesting and complex engagements. As a supervisor you will utilize tax-related software to review tax returns and research tax matters as they relate to the needs of the client.
