Teacher Elementary School prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned elementary school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in K-5 classroom setting. Being a Teacher Elementary School monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Elementary School evaluates and monitors student's performance and progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Elementary School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Indian Creek Christian School is accepting applications for a full-time classroom teacher.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their level of education, experience teaching and working with children, and knowledge of the Abeka curriculum.

Responsibilities and Expectations: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong relationship with Christ among students, families, staff, and the community. The candidate is a Christian by faith and can teach students both academic and social skills from a Christ-centered perspective, instructing all subjects confidently from a Biblical foundation. The candidate supports our management philosophy in maintaining order in classrooms and school campus.
Candidates should be able to plan and prepare properly for instruction and assessment including submission of lesson plans in a timely manner to the school administrator. The candidate can differentiate assignments to the learning abilities and styles of each student and teacher in a multi-grade classroom. Duties include assessing students, communicating with parents, and supporting and furthering the mission of Indian Creek Christian School. The Abeka curriculum is taught in all grades. Knowledge of Abeka is not required as training will be given to all teachers prior to the start of school.
