New London Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at New London Elementary School.. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession and proficient in incorporating elements from the science of reading into their teaching approach. The Kindergarten Teacher will play a crucial role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners.

Responsibilities:

• Implement Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession to ensure high-quality education for kindergarten students.

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with Ohio Academic Content Standards, with a focus on literacy skills grounded in the science of reading.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.

• Use effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.

• Collaborate with other educators and parents to create a supportive community for students.

• Conduct ongoing assessments to track students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

• Valid Ohio teaching license for Early Childhood Education.

• Strong understanding of the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession.

• Knowledge and application of the science of reading principles in literacy instruction.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment for young children
