Overview

Encantado Technical Solutions (ETS) is an unpopulated Small Business Administration-approved mentor-protégé joint venture between Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. and ECS Federal, LLC. ETS is bolstered by second-tier subcontractors Information International Associates (IIA) and Amentum. ETS provides comprehensive enterprise and mission-embedded IT support for the $400 – $700 million Third-Party Telecommunications and Information Technology Support Services contract at Sandia National Laboratories. ETS is currently recruiting for a variety of cleared and uncleared IT positions with on-site and remote opportunities in New Mexico and California. As ETS is unpopulated, employees will work for one of the four companies listed above.

Encantado is seeking a Windows System Administrator to support an IT program for the Department of Energy at Sandia National Laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers, as well as the software that runs on the servers and the hardware that supports them.
• Install and troubleshoot IT resources, establish and manage user accounts, upgrade and patch software, and perform backup and recovery tasks.
• Assist with the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
• Assist with the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
• Familiar with network automation, monitoring, orchestration, troubleshooting, and provisioning tools such as Solarwinds, InMon products, Statseeker, AKIPS, Gigamon products, application performance management products, and network performance management products.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active DOE Q clearance desired, but in all events must have ability to be cleared at the TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q level and the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
• Associate's degree plus 4 years relevant experience, or seven (7) years' relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years Windows server experience in current and new versions of the Windows Server Operating system.
• Experience with installation, configuration and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems on physical and virtual hardware
  • Experience above will include the following tasks and abilities:
  • Maintaining Active Directory topology and configuring Group Policy Object management
  • Managing virtual environments
  • Installing and integrating applications and software
  • Restoring data and re-configure systems
  • Detect, identify and troubleshoot system software and hardware problems
  • Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems
  • Implementing cyber policies
• Proven customer service skills and focus on customer success
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Desired Experience:

• Experience with MS SQL Server, MS Hyper-V, VMware vShpere, Nessus, and/or Splunk.
• Experience addressing network, storage, or system performance issues.
• Familiarization with databases and database services.
• Familiarization with networking principles.
