Multi Lines Insurance Agency in Union County is seeking a Direct Hire Commercial Lines Account Manager. (Hybrid Opportunity)
Tasks to be completed:
- Market new accounts to standard carriers and wholesale brokers (applications completed by the
- Market renewals, including gather renewal information and update applications.
- Round out / cross-sell to existing accounts
- Process new business and renewals (binders, billings, instructions to carrier, policy checking,
- Handle day-to-day service requirements (direct communication with clients and carriers,
- Quote new business and process changes on carriers" sites as required by carriers
- Review policies and accounts for possible gaps in coverage
- Review and track account receivables for book of business
- Maintain monthly expiration lists
- Keep management system updated as all tasks are being done
- Work with assigned assistants on an on-going basis in order to assist in their growth and
but account manager must be willing and able to handle these tasks.- Back up your assistant and other account manager (teammate) as needed
- Visit clients with producers as producers feel necessary. Visits are during work hours via car,
- Participate in department training as requested by commercial lines manager
- Motivated
- Organized - able to handle multiple accounts and producers
- Resourceful - able to figure out where to get answers
- Able to handle all aspects of an account on own
- Strong yet polite - able to deal with difficult situations - always with the insureds' and agency's best interests as a primary concern
- Good oral and written communication skills; able to speak clear and concise English
- Experience dealing with wholesale brokers and surplus lines accounts
- Working knowledge of basic insurance agency accounting principals (agency bill, direct bill, finance companies, account currents, etc)
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows
- Knowledge of Epic desired but not required
- Knowledge of carriers' websites helpful, not required, but comfort in navigating on the internet required
- Available for 8 ½ hour day (7 ½ hours 1 hour lunch) during SLC"s core customer service hours of 8 am - 5 pm.
- Work in Summit office Mondays and Wednesdays
- High school diploma required; further education desired
- 4 years commercial lines experience required; at least 2 years on agency/broker side required
- Carrier websites: Chubb, AIG, Hanover, Selective, Travelers, Progressive, Fraklin Mutual
- NJ P&C license required
- Attending classes needed to maintain license required
