The IT Service Desk Manager ensures team members are trained and coached on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, deliver solutions, and access the current product or technical updates. Manages the staff and operations of an organization's technical help desk. Being an IT Service Desk Manager identifies and gathers key metrics to analyze the help desk performance and identify problem areas. Trains the team on the help desk systems and tools to identify, document, track, and resolve reported problems. In addition, IT Service Desk Manager monitors and measures service metrics and volume to develop standards, improvements, or changes to workflows and resource allocation. Acts as an escalation point and facilitator for severe, critical, or unique issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The IT Service Desk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as an IT Service Desk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a hands-on Technical Support Specialist in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will provide Tier 1 Help Desk support, system troubleshooting, RMA diagnosis and repair services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and technical skills.

    Additional Responsibilities include:

    • Identify customers' request via phone or email.
    • Understand question/problem and identify responsible party.
    • Create service cases and work orders.
    • Assist with product installation and initial troubleshooting, including software, network, and hardware issues.
    • Provide Tier 1 technical product support, involving Windows-based servers, network switches and application software.
    • Research and provide accurate and complete information by using the provided methods/tools.
    • Maintain strong customer service focus and successfully interact with customers.

    To qualify for this great opportunity, you should have:

    • 2 or more years of Help Desk or IT support experience.
    • Associates or bachelor's degree in an IT related field.
    • Strong PC hardware and software experience (build, repair, and troubleshooting issues).
    • Extreme attention to detail, organized, and accurate with effective problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Servers).
    • Familiarity with Fiber and/or IP surveillance video management software and/or IP cameras – a plus!
    • CompTIA IT and/or CCNA certification a plus.
