Technical Librarian develops and maintains a collection of technical information and provides research and reference support to researchers, scientists, and engineers. Builds an extensive network of technical information resources and contacts from various sources like government agencies, universities, professional and industry associations to obtain the required information. Being a Technical Librarian communicates with researchers to develop and maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the organization's relevant topics and effectively target technical publications as information sources. Creates abstracts, bibliographies, and metadata to classify the information. Additionally, Technical Librarian obtains translations of literature as needed. Supports and maintains the library's technology infrastructure and information retrieval tools. Typically requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a manager. The Technical Librarian work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Technical Librarian typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Role Description
This is a Full-time on-site position for a Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Inspector located in Pittsburgh, PA region. Travel between multiple sites in Western PA, Ohio and West Virginia is required. The NDE Inspector will be responsible for conducting a wide range of NDE inspections such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and radiography testing on various components of industrial plants, equipment, and systems. The NDE Inspector will also be responsible for creating reports based on inspection findings, ensuring that safety and quality standards are met, and collaborating with other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid NDE Level II Certification in two or more of the following techniques: ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and radiography testing. Phased Array (PAUT) a plus
- Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, AWS, and ASTM, pertaining to various forms of non-destructive testing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Excellent communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proof of classroom on OJT hours
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
