Technical Sales Support Specialist jobs in Springfield, MA

Reporting to the Manager of User Support, the Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing support and training with campus technology to students and employees.

Primary duties include:

• Provide support and training in the effective use of campus technology tools including phones, printers, desktop devices, hardware & software;
• Work as a member of the help desk team to provide support via telephone calls, email messages, and walk in requests;
• Assist with orientation, training, and documentation for standard software and databases;
• Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution;
• Assist in maintaining the department loaner inventory; provide technical support and setup for audio/visual equipment required for events;
• Provide support for events as needed.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess:

• An Associate’s degree
• 1-3 years of experience providing customer support and triage of critical issues is required, experience working in an academic environment is preferred;
• Strong customer service orientation, outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong proficiency with technology, including both Windows and Mac OS, is required; solid trouble-shooting skills, the ability to be self-directed
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and to serving the needs of a diverse community is required.

**SIGN-ON BONUS**

The successful candidate will receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at time of hire and $500 paid at the end of 90 days of employment.
