Support Technician
The Support Technician will be involved in the installation, modification, support and monitoring of clients’ networks and computer systems. Exceptional analytical skills are required to troubleshoot issues and deliver secure, creative, value-driven solutions.
Senior IT Support Technician Job Duties:
- Provide different levels of IT support to clients in all verticals.
- Work with VPN, LAN, WAN, VLAN, and DMZ.
- Continually improve client networks by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment.
- Secure the network by developing and implementing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation systems; maintaining documentation.
- Administer servers, virtual servers, NAS, SAN, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
- Work with Backup Disaster recovery solutions
- Maintain Windows servers such as file servers, AD Servers, App Servers, etc...
- Provide client support in a hybrid capacity utilizing RMM tools, Teams, telecommunication, in-person visits and meetings, and emergency situations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Maintains inventory of equipment and parts as well as documentation of configurations, standards, and vendor activities.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership of tasks and requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
IT Support Technician Skills and Qualifications:
- M365 Administration and Deployment experience.
- previous experience programming or troubleshooting Switches and Firewalls.
- VPN, LAN, WAN, VLAN, and DMZ Knowledge.
- Strong acumen in problem solving, multi-tasking, coordination and teamwork, leadership skills, self-starter with a strong technical zeal.
- Professional and effective communication skills and the ability to work with customer base on complex technical issues.
- Active Directory, Patch Management, Image Deployment, iSCSI, VM Ware and Windows Server administration experience.
- Exceptional Analytical Skills.
- 2 years or more of combined relevant experience and education.
- Field related certifications are desired.
