Technical Support Supervisor leads a team that provides technical customer support for an organization's products and services. Acts as first level escalation point for more complex or critical customer issues and inquiries. Being a Technical Support Supervisor possesses broad knowledge of the organization's products and services, and extensive experience handling customer inquiries. Mentors and coaches team on troubleshooting, solution development, and customer communication best practices. Additionally, Technical Support Supervisor monitors work queues to ensure adequate coverage and to meet service level standards. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Technical Support Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Technical Support Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Quality Assurance Supervisor:
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company"s policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products. She/he maintains close working relationships with other department managers and supervisory personnel in order to meet and maintain product quality, identify, solve and prevent problems affecting product quality, maximize productivity, and comply with regulatory requirements. He/she reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and direct quality assurance technicians who are responsible for enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices and other quality-related policies in order to meet product quality standards.
2. Assist in the coordination of testing results involving finished products and packaging components and the appropriate release and hold programs associated with these materials.
3. Supports top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals with respect to Quality and labs.
4. Oversee the 'On Hold' product program, including the status, release, and destruction of 'Rejected' products.
5. Assist in investigating and correcting quality-related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments.
6. Make proactive recommendations and offering/presenting solutions to the Quality Department Management to improve quality and work efficiency.
7. Assist in the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support in order to meet product quality standards
8. Reviews technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
9. Maintains standards and verifies policies for quality control.
10. Maintains knowledge of current government and industry quality standards including but not limited to FDA, ISO, global standards, etc.
11. Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.
12. Responsible for company-wide GMP training as well as training programs within relevant departments.
13. Maintains all records related to jobs, reworks, customer complaints, corrective action plans, preventive actions and legal retains.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 23 Days Ago
