    The Digital Employee Experience team is focused on delivering a delightful experience across devices, systems, and processes for employees. The Senior Manager, Unified Communications & Collaboration is a new role, reporting to the Director, Digital Employee Experience. In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight of the contact center, corporate network, and collaboration technologies to deliver solutions that empower our organization. You will guide the team as it adopts a DevSecOps approach toward providing services in support of a product-oriented model.     Your Work

    In this role, you will:

    • Provide team leadership and management: mentoring and coaching, personnel/staffing resource management, budget management, and oversight of daily team responsibilities
    • Provides technical leadership and strongly advocates automation and monitoring at all steps of engineering, from designing through integration, testing, and releasing to deployment and infrastructure management
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and business cases that will shape and streamline the digital workplace experience, reducing costs and improving service performance for our employees and members
    • Guide and promote the adoption of a DevSecOps approach (mindset, culture, and tooling/automation), GitOps practices, and Agile methodologies to achieve desired outcomes
    • Synthesize complex data/information and lead designing and engineering of complex enterprise systems requiring high performance, efficiency, scalability, and availability
    • Monitor and track relevant metrics that improve the Unified Communications & Collaboration technology roadmaps and operating model
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous learning
    • Model a strong sense of ownership and communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively across a diverse set of stakeholders
    • Maintains currency on new technologies, platforms, and architecture patterns and provides direction on emerging technologies to ensure capabilities support evolving business demands and improve business value
    • Implement and carry out security standard methodologies, ensuring data privacy and compliance with industry standards and regulations

    Your Knowledge and Experience

    • Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
    • Requires at least 4 years of experience managing divers-functional technical teams
    • 5 years of experience in engineering and operating conferencing and collaboration platforms such as Cisco and Microsoft 365 (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams)
    • 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing network and communications infrastructure
    • 5 years of knowledge and experience with the design and configuration of contact center platforms and technologies such as Avaya, Verint, IVR, and Session Border Controllers; experience with Genesys is a plus
    • Knowledge and experience working in a public cloud, e.g., Azure
    • Strong understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DHCP, QoS, VOIP, and IP addressing schemes and VLAN designs

    Pay Range:

    The pay range for this role is: $ 145200.00 to $ 217800.00 for California.

    Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
