      SUMMARY: Design, deliver and evaluate district professional development programs for all employees (certified and classified) based upon needs assessment and district/school/department priorities and initiatives. Facilitate, coordinate and oversee a wide variety of projects to ensure the development, implementation and monitoring of high quality ongoing professional learning.

      • Provide on-going leadership in the area of professional development and training to support implementation of Weld RE-4 Vision, Mission and Strategic Plans.
      • Develop a long term plan for ongoing professional development and training for new and experienced employees.
      • Develop and communicate expectations with various teams and stakeholders regarding implementation of professional development and training.
      • Initiate project-related communication and coordinates cross department objectives.
      • Develop, administer, and monitor the district professional development budget.
      • Assess needs, guide, and evaluate professional development opportunities for all staff, including classified, certified and leadership positions.
      • Design, coordinate and evaluate ongoing professional learning services and/or consulting services to increase student achievement at each school in the district
      • Provide on-site assistance to building and department administrators and staff in development through trainings, consulting, coaching, and mentoring opportunities
      • Identify and apply programming that will support the implementation of systemic organizational changes.
      • Facilitate district, school and provider groups and committees to accomplish tasks that relate to the strategic plan.
      • Collaborate and communicate with all schools and departments to organize, design, and facilitate professional learning for certified and classified staff.
      • Coordinate and communicate district wide events that support staff growth.
      • Collaborate with district departments to organize and facilitate opportunities.
      • Perform other duties as assigned
      EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
      • Master’s Degree in administration, curriculum and instruction, professional/organizational development, or related field
      • Minimum of five (5) years of education related experience
      • Experience in group facilitation, planning, problem solving, and other leadership activities
      • Demonstrated instructional leadership skills including: clear vision for a professional learning program and proven ability to move to full implementation of an initiative.
      LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
      • Criminal background check
      • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
      • Colorado Principal or Administrator’s License or in the process of earning
      TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
      • Advanced knowledge of “best practices” in staff development, training design and delivery and instructional leadership
      • Advanced knowledge of instructional practices in specific content areas, supervision practices, program administration, data analysis, and school and department improvement
      • Knowledge of current Weld RE-4 vision, mission, and strategic plans.
      • Oral and written communication skills.
      • Interpersonal relation skills
      • Computer and technology skills
      • Ability to frequently travel among district facility locations
      • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

      • Ability to maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job.
      • Ability and willingness adhere to attendance requirements, including regular and punctual employee presence.
      • Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies and building and department procedures.
      • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
      • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
