ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Avoya Travel is hiring a full-time Technical Writing Assistant (Promotions Assistant)
The Promotions Assistant will support the department by creating and maintaining marketing materials, product inventories, and various content types, both creative and technical, to generate sales and enhance engagement for Avoya Travel in multiple marketing channels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Utilizing creative and technical writing to draft marketing materials and terms & conditions designed for use in engaging, converting, and retaining customers across a variety of marketing channels.
Conducting independent research for information systems data entry and development of content as needed
Loading and maintaining product inventory and marketing materials with the use of a CMS (Content Management System)
Internal tracking and record keeping
Working with internal departments (Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, Partner Engagement and Development) as well as external travel partners to assist with business needs.
Basic communication and support to Avoyas Network of Independent Agencies
Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Must be highly organized with the ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Requires a combination of creative and analytic skill sets with an exceptional level of detail-orientation and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Must demonstrate acute attention to detail while also displaying strong time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and directions.
Must demonstrate excellence in writing, punctuation, and grammar.
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to handle situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with internal team members, Independent Agencies, and external travel partners in written and oral communication.
Demonstrate proficiency in basic software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
HTML experience preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
1 years of working experience in a similar role preferred.
Travel industry is preferred.
Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field is preferred.
PHYISCAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15lbs at a time.
Ability to travel to home office or other locations as needed.
