Join our team as the Technical Writing Intern.
Main Responsibilities:
· Review and assess engineering documents to help prepare to transfer a novel FDA approved portable MRI device to manufacturing.
· Update / modify / simplify documents as appropriate to help with smooth transfer of product to manufacturing.
· Write, edit, validate, and publish documents such as installation manuals, service manuals, datasheets, software related documents, etc.
· Project-manage documentation initiatives to ensure that priorities are addressed appropriately, and that all QMS processes are followed.
· Communicating and collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders to provide updates and provide task deliverables.
· Presenting a project you have been involved with and lessons learned to the organization.
Qualifications / Eligibility Requirements:
· University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to a degree-seeking academic program.
· Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10–12-week period starting May or June.
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
· Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate / Master’s program in Technical Writing, English, Communication, or Engineering.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
· Skilled in the use of MS Office and has used services like Drop Box, Slack
· Prior experience in an FDA-regulated industry (Medical Devices or Biotechnology) is preferred
