What is your mission in this role?
The NPI Engineering Technician is responsible for Support Product Development Engineers in various tasks needed for new product launch.
What you will be doing?
The NPI Engineering Technician creates 3D and 2D SolidWorks designs of engineering fixtures for product testing, builds engineering samples and prototypes in development phases and supports engineering testing of products and equipment by planning, execution, data collection/analysis, and report generation.
The NPI Engineering Technician performs root cause analysis on various product failure, uses inspection equipment for engineering testing and product acceptance and operates basic machine shop equipment or other fabrication tools.
The NPI Engineering Technician coordinates with international and domestic engineering teams regarding project issues, works with suppliers and customers on basic engineering communications, creates various types of engineering or other technical documentation and organizes and present data and information with conclusions in comprehendible formats.
They NPI Engineering Technician will coordinate with quality to keep the lab calibrated equipment up to date, create OOT (Out of Tolerance) reports and assess the impacts, keep lab equipment maintenance records up to date keep an update list of all the lab assets, implement a check in / check out system, and manage the lab consumables inventory.
The skills you need to have:
Our ideal candidate will have High school diploma or GED with some post high school education. A Sophomore in technical University program such as ME, MET, EE, Physics; or equivalent non-academic experience. More education or graduated is a plus. At least one year of related experience.
