General Manager

Burlington, VT. Full-time

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the operations and growth of our company. The General Manager will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives, manage day-to-day operations, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

General Responsibilities

The General Manager role has the potential to cover a wide range of responsibilities but not all are required or will be handled by the same person. We encourage people to apply who feel confident in strongly delivering on portions of these responsibilities and working in conjunction with the team to find the correct oversight and separation of duties

• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company objectives and drive growth.
• Translation: Work with us to make the company successful
• Oversee all aspects of operations including but not limited to production, supply chain management, sales, marketing, and customer service.
• Translation: Make the company operate smoothly by tracking multiple areas of the business
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of company goals and initiatives.
• Translation: Work closely with all the team members at OVR
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including investors, partners, vendors, and customers.
• Translation: Work closely with the people that OVR works with
• Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for expansion and differentiation.
• Translation: Keep an eye on what is happening in the world and help us make good decisions
• Monitor financial performance and implement measures to optimize profitability and sustainability.
• Translation: Understand and keep an eye on the numbers
• Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability across the organization.
• Translation: Have a good attitude that aligns with the team
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Translation: There may be some travel and sales functions that we would like to have representation at
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Translation: Help us make sure we are building things that are compliant with the rules

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related experience
• Proven track record of success in a leadership role, preferably within a hardware, software, or related industry.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
• Experience managing and collaborating with a small team
• Comfortability with a startup ecosystem, which means thriving in a dynamic environment and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of scent, scent technology, or gaming is a plus.

Location:

The position is located in Burlington, Vermont. Remote Candidates will only be considered if they can demonstrate access to necessary equipment and toolsets and a proven ability to achieve outcomes and collaborate remotely.

Compensation:

The salary range is $120K-140K, for this full-time salaried position, plus benefits including health, dental, and 401k with 6% matching. There are also variable compensation opportunities based on the role and completion of milestones.
