The successful candidate will assess vulnerabilities and work with licensees to establish or maintain internal controls for risk mitigation and minimize cyber threats and or breaches; evaluate and audit employee access rights; conduct investigations; enforce the rules and regulations of the South Dakota Commission on Gaming as it relates to internal controls, casino management systems, and general gaming; evaluate casino management systems to ensure approved software is installed; and participate in observation and inspection programs.     Licenses and Certifications:

    Have or have the knowledge and ability to sit for a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification through ISACA and have general MTAs related to database fundamentals, networking fundamentals, and security fundamentals.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Experience working in collaborative team environments, demonstrating effective time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail. Equally important will be a strong work ethic, integrity, interpersonal skills, discretion, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.

    Knowledge of:

    • the gaming industry and casino management systems;
    • investigative and auditing techniques;
    • effective communication techniques; and
    • database fundamentals, networking fundamentals, and system security fundamentals.

    Skill to:

    • conduct fact-finding audits and investigations;
    • analyze gathered information, prepare detailed reports, and present information;
    • use computer and software associated with position;
    • organizational and time management skills;
    • effective interpersonal skills;
    • provide professional customer service;
    • inspect gaming devices; and
    • monitor casinos for violations.

    Ability to:

    • understand and interpret state law, rules, and regulations as they apply to gaming activities;
    • communicate clearly and concisely;
    • gather, organize, and present information effectively and in a logical sequence;
    • establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers, licensees, other agencies, and the public; and
    • meet deadlines, think critically, and solve problems.
