Overview

This Billing Rates Analyst is responsible for putting into effect negotiated client fee arrangements, analyzing, communicating, and ensuring compliance of Outside Counsel Guidelines while supporting the billing, e-billing, and pricing functions.  

Responsibilities

• Understand the client arrangements cycle thoroughly and manage the exception rates.
• Maintenance of timekeeper rates records.
• Review and analyze our client fee arrangements to ensure the corresponding billing information is implemented properly in our financial and legal management system.
• Review, analyze and implement Outside Counsel or billing guidelines received from clients to identify new requirements that will have an impact on the client’s billing process or realization.
• Communicate the client fee arrangements and billing requirements to appropriate Firm teams and personnel effectively.
• Conduct root cause analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements and training.
• Assist with data clean up to enhance 3E functionality.
• Maintain status reports for rejected invoices due to rate errors for the billing and e-billing teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of legal billing experience required
• Experience with 3E as well as ebilling preferred #LI-Hybrid
