Telecommunications Technician maintains an organization's telecommunications network to ensure dependable operation. Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. No desk here! Your day will be spent supporting our customers in your region. We will supply you with the tools needed for success: a company vehicle, tools, cell phone, laptop, and technical support.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & COMMUNICATION: As the face for our organization, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the customer and strives to provide a great customer experience. We need someone who can communicate thoughtfully and professionally with the staff at our hospitality customers; and understand and respect the boundaries, protocols, and empathy needed in our healthcare customer environments.
EDUCATION & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
In addition to your passion for solving problems, a technical degree plus ONE year of related experience in any of the following areas -OR- High School Diploma or GED plus THREE years’ work experience. Looking for experience in any of the following areas: High-Speed Internet, Satellite TV, Digital TV, Telecom, CATV, MATV, Head-end, RF, Networking and/or Computer Troubleshooting.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: To drive that company vehicle, you will need a valid driver’s license and safe driving habits. And while you work in your assigned region where you live, there is occasional travel outside of your area; as well as on-call and occasional overtime and weekend work to accommodate service level agreements. Our customers have changing priorities and requests, so we need for you to flexible and adapt to these changes. We want to keep everyone safe, as such, we will need a COVID-19 vaccination, and any other customer-mandated vaccinations, to be completed within 90-days of hire.
