Telecommunications Technician maintains an organization's telecommunications network to ensure dependable operation. Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This position would be the 2nd in command on a 3 or 4 person Tower Crew.Current Tower Technicians that are experienced and looking to further their careers and be the Lead Hand on a Crew will also be considered for this position.
This job requires a minimum of 2 years of cell tower experience and valid certifications. Only local and regional candidates will be considered for this role, no traveling techs.
Perform installation, inspection and maintenance services for wireless radio and antenna systems on towers, rooftops and other elevated structures in conjunction with the Crew Foreman and Tower Technician(s).
Adhere to KMM and Industry safety and quality control requirements at all times; Ensure lower level Tower Technicians adhere to the same.
Identify and work with all required materials, tools and equipment needed to complete assigned work.KMM is open to discussing the on-boarding of full and/or partial Crews if a Candidate has current Team members that are also interested in possible employment.
