Processes requests for money orders, cashiers' and travelers' checks, and foreign currency exchanges. Being a Teller responds to customer inquiries, identifies needs, and makes referrals or cross-sells bank products and services. Prepares daily cash settlements and proof record for cash drawer and ATM following standard procedures. Additionally, Teller follows all required security procedures and policies regarding customers' personal information and money handling. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Job Summary:
Accurately service customers’ transactions including withdrawals, deposits, payments, and purchases. Maintain accurate balance in teller window by balancing cash at the beginning and end of the day at any window. Verify totals on various bank products, proof, etc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Accurately balance cash at work station
o Balance cash in window to start and finish daily work and at balancing time
o Complete deposit and withdrawal transactions for customers
o Verify all cash that customers bring to window
o Count customers’ loose coin in coin counter
o Cash customers’ checks
o Accept customers’ loan payments and payoffs; accurately calculate payoffs as requested
o Balance vault
Performance Expectations: Maintain an accurate cash drawer with limited variations. Respond to customers’ inquiries in a timely and friendly manner. Completely follow through on all transactions and activities. Acknowledge and greet customers upon arrival to lobby or teller window.
Provide exceptional customer support
o Open new savings, checking, and Christmas Club accounts and CDs
o Prepare bank money orders for customers
o Cash savings bonds for customers
o Sell personal money orders/cashier’s checks
o Accept payments for safe deposit boxes
o Cross-sell bank products and services
Performance Expectations: Accurately conduct customers’ transactions. Respond to customers’ inquiries in a timely and friendly manner. Complete transaction thoroughly including accurate recording of any documentation. Follow through on all communications and transactions.

o Verify all night drop bag contents and mail receipt to customers

· Maintain tickler and exception list and Force Place Insurance – keep track of insurances & UCC & FP Insurance payments & tracking
· Creating loan documents on Compliance Concierge
· Properly filing loan documents
· Mailing of late loan payment letters & late Real Estate Tax letters
· Assisting in year-end escrow analysis
· Assist customers with withdrawals and deposits as well as mobile banking questions
· Open accounts
· Cashing in bonds/CD’s
Performs other duties as assigned which may include but are not limited to:
o Filing and collating
o Answering the phones
o Shredding confidential items
o Light housekeeping/maintenance
o Prepare and deliver daily work to Auto Bank night depository
o Provide occasional teller staffing coverage at other branches, when needed
