Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Additionally, Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. What You’ll Do
As a Test Lab Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain applications used in the design, testing, and FAA certification of propeller systems. The software includes desktop applications, lab and flight test data acquisition, , data analysis codes, and any support for additional engineering software/hardware needs.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
1) Develop and maintain in-house software applications utilizing appropriate coding standards and documentation.
2) Support Hartzell’s engineering test lab personnel in the acquisition and analysis of test data.
3) Assist with hardware troubleshooting of existing DAQ stations.
4) Support Hartzell’s engineering team with specialized projects as needed.
What’s Required
1) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
2) 2 years of experience writing software applications
What’s Preferred
1) Experience using LabWindows/CVI software
2) Experience programming in C, C , or C#.
3) Experience utilizing common lab instrumentation such as strain gages, thermocouples, RTDs, and telemetry systems.
4) Willingness to embrace a wide range of software application types when developing new solutions, adapting to the unique needs of each project.
5) Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to thoroughly understand project requirements and translate them into clean sheet software solutions.
6) Experience programming and working with robotic technology
7) Experience developing efficient GUI designs
8) Experience working with and interpreting mechanical drawings and engineering schematics.
9) The ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative environment.
