Testing Technician, Sr. jobs in Washington

CTL is currently seeking a motivated individual who has a background in construction or science related fields. The incumbent will perform skilled technical work in support of construction projects. It is expected that the Materials Testing Technician will exercise initiative and judgement in carrying out assignments according to established policies, procedures, and standards.

The laboratory technician will have a variety of duties and on the job training is provided. We have excellent retirement, healthcare benefits and competitive pay.

· Be able to lift samples weighing up to 75 lbs. Be able to manipulate samples up to 140 lbs. or more with assistance, whether mechanical or with the assistance of co-workers.

· Organize and properly label samples

· Be able to work independently as well as come in early, stay late, or work during the weekend as necessary to accommodate sample testing schedules

· Maintain a clean work station

· Assist in other laboratory testing duties as assigned

Desirable Qualifications:

· Qualified tester with experience testing construction materials

· Proficient with computer including Microsoft Office programs

· Strong basic math skills and proficiency with a calculator

Required Qualifications:

· Be able to pass pre-employment drug screening

· Have a valid Washington State Driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
