    Job Summary

    Fleet Response is currently seeking qualified candidates to work virtually or at our corporate office, for the following position: Senior Claims Specialist. Provides operational input and guidance as needed to teammate and works with the Claims Supervisor and Claims Manager to ensure client and customer parameters and expectations are consistently met by the team.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Includes, but is not limited to, the following:

    • Reviews and sends loss notices to clients and carriers per client parameters.
    • Answers claim calls and questions from clients, leadership, and office staff.
    • Investigate liability for client accidents and make appropriate decisions based on results of investigation, applicable laws, statutes and jurisdictions.
    • Evaluate, negotiate and settle liability bodily injury claims with claimants and/or attorneys.
    • Enters documentation including, but not limited to, claim notes, estimates, photos, and correspondence into claims management system.
    • Manage rental reservation and rental process within specific claims in accordance with client parameters and customer needs.
    • Secure documentation on repairs, including reasons for delays, and actively manage the repair process for clients and customers.
    • Participate in Client Review Meetings as required.
    • Coordinate and balance workload within a defined sub-team.
    • Assist leadership in departmental and individual claims rep training.
    • Run, interpret and recommend action from available reporting.
    • Effectively communicate with clients, team, peers and leadership through written, verbal and in-person means.
    • Other additional duties and responsibilities as requested by Claims Supervisor and/or Claims Manager.
    • Direct personnel or human resource issues or topics to the appropriate supervisor and/or manager.


    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
    • Or Minimum 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior automotive, fleet management, claims management, and vehicle re-marketing experience strongly preferred. 3rd Party claims management experience preferred.


    LICENSING: Ability to obtain and maintain insurance/adjuster licensing as required in all states.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write and interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from department, company, groups of managers, clients, and customers.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to use computer to access e-mail and the internet. Basic skills in Windows and Microsoft Office.

    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
