Tire Warehouse Manager manages all warehouse activities, ensuring the receipt, coordination and safety of tires and other automotive parts coming through the warehouse. Also ensures that orders are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities. Being a Tire Warehouse Manager requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Tire Warehouse Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Excellent customer service skills REQUIRED.
Knowledge of tire ply ratings, speed ratings, tire classifications, etc is required.
Ability to speak to customers about mechanical repairs and parts (i.e. brake repairs, front end repairs, alignments, oil changes, a/c diagnostics, etc.) is required.
Experience using labor guide software and vendor websites used in creating estimates and invoices for customers is preferred.
Ability to multi-task and manage shop personnel is required.
Ability to schedule and maintain a scheduling calendar for appointments.
Ability to perform general office related duties and manage inventory controls.
Ability to perform accounts payable and receivable functions with point of sale software (Quickbooks).
Ability to generate tire sales and promotions.
