General Description

As a Mobile Commercial Tire Technician, you will be accountable for properly and safely performing tire service on all types of equipment including passenger automobiles, Light Trucks, RV’s, Semi-Tractors and Trailers, Industrial and Farm Equipment. Experience is preferred however we are willing to provide job training.

Position Type: Full Time

General Schedule:

• Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:00pm
• Week-ends on Rotating Shifts
• May include On Call for afterhours Road Calls

Hourly Compensation: $18 - $25 per hour based on experience

Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent (Required)
• CA Driver License (Required)
• US Work authorization (Required)
• Must speak English
• Spanish speaking (Preferred)
• Previous Commercial Service Tire Experience (Preferred), willing to provide job training
• Must be self-starting and willing to take initiative
• Must be willing and able to work successfully without direct supervision
• Must have excellent communication skills and work well with others
• Not required, but being able to service OTR tires is a plus

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Understanding and complying with all Tire Industry Related Safety Regulations
• Safely driving mobile service truck to jobsites, either at customer facilities or roadside
• Safely securing and servicing all types of tires, including passenger, light truck, RV, semi-truck and trailer, industrial and farm
• Working safely and wearing proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Dismounting, mounting, and reinstalling tires onto vehicles and equipment
• Inflating tires to prescribed air pressures
• Repairing tires with minor injuries

• Properly maintaining and keeping clean assigned equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Stand for long periods of time which may include heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting
• Be able to lift 75 lbs., carry 50 lbs. and push/pull 60 lbs.
• Steel-toed footwear and safety glasses are required
• Ability to mount or dismount tires/wheels assemblies
• Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs
