Tool Crib Attendant inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Being a Tool Crib Attendant keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed. Additionally, Tool Crib Attendant has training and experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Crib Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker with Job Shop experience to join our team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for building, and repairing various types of tools, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
- Assemble Tools and Fixtures, use milling machines, lathes, grinders, and CNC machines to fabricate parts as needed.
- Inspect finished tools, or fixtures for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Test completed tools or fixtures to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot issues with tools or fixtures and make necessary repairs or modifications
- Collaborate with engineers and design personnel to optimize tooling designs for efficiency and effectiveness.Experience:
- Job Shop experience as a Tool and Die Maker
- Experience working with hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with milling machines, lathes, grinders, and CNC machines
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Strong math skills for calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and material propertiesWe offer competitive pay based on experience.
