The Design Drafter is responsible for supporting the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of a new Battery Active Material (BAM) Factory. This position will join the engineering team tasked with the design and construction of the world’s largest production facility of next-generation lithium silicon anode materials.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

-Create and revise P&ID’s using AutoCAD Plant 3D.

-Update equipment, valve and instrument specifications in the smart P&ID model.

-Maintain and archiving documentation of contractors, vendors, and project drawings.

-Assist with maintaining revision control of drawings for the facility.

-Participate in team review of drawings submitted by contractors for large construction project.

-Lead the creation of company drafting standard.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

-Experience with AutoCAD.

-Experience in materials production and/or chemical processing facility.

-Strong working understanding of standard drafting practices.

-Strong communication skills.

-Ability to work well with others on a team.

-5 years of drafting experience required.

-Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

-Proficient in basic and advanced 2D AutoCAD.

-Utilize basic 2D CAD tools and perform basic calculations to support drawing layouts.

-Ability to prepare engineering drawings based on conceptual or detailed sketches and red-line markups provided by designers and engineers.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:

-Strong understanding of document control and revision control standard procedures.

-Experience at PSM-covered facilities.

-Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D for producing P&ID’s.

-Experience at facilities employing rigorous Management of Change processes.

The base pay range for this position is $35/hr- $39/hr. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
