Primary Purpose and Function

The Content Creator is pivotal in steering our creative direction and amplifying our digital footprint. This role is responsible for developing compelling narratives and multimedia content that elevates our brand's online presence. The ideal candidate will exhibit creativity in producing video and graphic content, proficiency in managing web development platforms, and adeptness in conducting market analysis to inform content strategy. This role will support three related business units, for a manufacturing firm and two product B2B units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Portfolio Management:

• Design and produce dynamic video and graphic content for various social media platforms, aligning with marketing objectives and brand identity.
• Regularly update and optimize our website presence using platforms like WIX, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or similar, focusing on user engagement and SEO/SEM enhancements.
• Work collaboratively with marketing teams to forge and implement cohesive content strategies that resonate across entities.

Strategic Planning & Market Analysis:

• Perform thorough market research to guide content creation, identifying key trends, audience preferences, and the competitive landscape.
• Leverage insights from market analysis to craft targeted content, aiming to boost engagement and reach across channels.
• Coordinate the social media content calendar, syncing with marketing campaigns and the overarching strategic goals of the organization.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

• Expertise in visual and video content creation, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
• Experience with web development platforms (WIX, BigCommerce, WooCommerce) and a solid grasp of web design principles.
• Skilled in market analysis, with a deep understanding of digital marketing trends and the ability to integrate findings into strategic content planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities, versatile across various brand voices and adept at engaging a wide range of audiences.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.

Preferred:

• Experience in video production, covering filming, editing, and post-production.
• Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices and how to weave these into content and website optimization.
• Certifications such as YouTube Channel Growth, Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ), and familiarity with CRM systems like Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.
• Portfolio experience with outdoor brands and lifestyle a benefit.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of maintaining a standard 8-hour workday with the flexibility to meet project demands outside of standard hours.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A robust portfolio demonstrating proficiency in video and graphic content creation, web development, and diverse content strategy execution.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in graphic design, content creation, marketing communications, or digital marketing.
