Job Summary
The Executive Administration Assistant directs the daily operations of the Director's Office and the Administration Directorate; manages the support team; provides overall coordination of the Director, Chief of Staff, and Associate Director for Administration activities; and supports the Executive Committee. The position also serves as the liaison to the Director's direct reports, units across campus, and external constituents. 2. Any one or any combination totaling five (5) years (60 months) from the following categories:
A. College course work in business, finance, accounting or a related field:
60 semester hours or an Associate's degree equals one (1) year (12 months)
90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
120 semester hours or a Bachelor's degree equals three (3) years (36 months)
Master's degree or higher equals four (4) years (48 months)
B. Progressively more responsible professional, managerial and supervisory experience that included experience in areas such as supervising staff or a job function, organizing and coordinating office operations, and performing duties that lead to knowledge of generally accepted office management principles
Preferred Qualifications
•At least ten years of administrative support experience in roles with increasing responsibility. •Significant experience managing support staff teams and supervising personnel. •Excellent customer service experience. •Experience working in administrative support roles across multiple University of Illinois units. •Experience supporting the mission and goals of interdisciplinary research institutes. •Experience fulfilling job duties in the areas of human resources, facilities and space, communications, and/or business and finance. •Project management experience.
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 0171 - Administrative Assistant position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/5/2023. Salary is commensurate with experience.
