Commercial Lines Account Executive
Responsibilities:- The Commercial Lines Account Executive is a key component within agency sales and service with primary responsibilities including consulting, advising, communicating and relationship building between the agency, the agent, the carrier, and the consumer.
- Consult and advise clients and negotiate with carriers.
- Will handle quoting, executing new business, assisting in qualifying existing renewals for possible alternative markets, account rounding and underwriting while using discretion and independent judgement.
- Will service a book of business that includes the Charter School Program and Construction clients (approximately 200 clients and $750K in revenue).
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications:- Michigan Property & Casualty License
- Existing commercial insurance product knowledge and risk management expertise
- Advanced coverage knowledge
- Ability to work completely independently and with minimal direction in soliciting, rating and binding existing or new business
- Ability to sell and cross sell to client base
- Maintain expected retention levels
- Working knowledge of Applied Epic; will consider experience with other agency management systems software
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Mathematical skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and instructions
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid Work Schedule)
