Top Budgeting Executive oversees all aspects of an organization's budgeting and financial forecasting function. Directs the development and evaluation of policies and processes that will support the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization. Being a Top Budgeting Executive implements operational processes for the annual budget and capital planning. Establishes performance indicators used to evaluate and analyze actual performance against budgets. Additionally, Top Budgeting Executive leads the development of budget planning and forecasting tools to support management decisions. Presents budget data to senior management and/or board. Typically requires a MBA or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Top Budgeting Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. The Director of University Budgeting, reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Finance and Administration and Assistant Treasurer, leads the development and implementation of all budgets for the University, monitors budgets to ensure the availability of resources to meet operational requirements and strategic goals, and provides information to senior management to aid strategic planning.
