Top Business Analytics Executive leads and oversees the business analytics function to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Being a Top Business Analytics Executive consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Additionally, Top Business Analytics Executive builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business. The Department of Finance and Decision Sciences of Trinity University invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Business Analytics and Technology. The position is a three-year appointment with potential for reappointment.BACKGROUND

The Neidorff School of Business at Trinity University offers an integrated, innovative undergraduate and graduate business program for students who are well grounded in the liberal arts. Our programs produce globally aware, ethically sensitive, technologically proficient graduates who think critically, communicate effectively, and understand business as a consequence of both field and classroom involvement. The Business Analytics and Technology (BAT) program within the Department of Finance and Decision Sciences is responsible for providing all business statistics, operations management, and business analytics courses within Trinity University's Neidorff School of Business. BAT faculty teach 4 out of the 11 core courses required for all business majors. They also provide major and minor specific courses in the areas of Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate must possess a strong desire and willingness to work in a liberal arts-oriented university that values diversity, interdisciplinary scholarship, experiential learning, and international engagement.
The position requires:
Teach twelve credit hours per semester (equivalent approximately to four sections per semester or 4 4, with a total of twelve contact hours per week).
Teach courses in the areas of Spreadsheet Modeling, Data Visualization, Corporate Finance, and Personal Finance
Participate in service to the Department, School, and University.
Advise Business Analytics and Technology and Finance majors
Flexibility to teach other courses as directed by the Department's needs.
EDUCATION
Required:
A Master's degree in one of the following areas, preferably from an AACSB accredited business school:
Business Administration with emphasis in Information Systems or Statistics
Information Systems
Applied Statistics
Finance
Or some other closely related area (Engineering is not considered a closely related area
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at undergraduate level in areas related to courses listed under duties and responsibilities
Relevant graduate coursework
Demonstrated commitment to Trinity's intentional inclusion values
Preferred:
Corporate work experience in the areas mentioned above or related fields
Experience teaching diverse student populations
