The Casino City editorial team is responsible for delivering compelling content on the casino, gaming and online gaming industry for both gaming enthusiasts and industry executives. We publish weekly online newsletters and videos, magazines, almanacs and trade publications and supply content to Casino City's family of websites.

The new online gaming associate editor position will play a leading role in the launch of a B2B-focused online gaming industry news site and is centered on producing daily editorial content coupled with both long and short-term content strategy and oversight responsibilities.

Job Description

As the online gaming industry associate editor, you will:

• Report on and write about online gaming industry news and industry trends
• Plan and implement website and newsletter content strategies that create a competitive advantage
• Cultivate a cadre of contributing industry experts and collect, edit and post third-party content and press releases
• Research and compile online gaming related materials, including legal documents, statutes and state legislation
• Participate in editorial projects providing content for print and online publications several times a year
• Develop a solid working knowledge of the different aspects of the online gaming industry and how they fit together
• Consistently meet deadlines and deliver required content on schedule
• Effectively work and coordinate with other Casino City staff

You will have:

• Excellent writing, editing and copy-editing skills
• Solid news judgment and written and verbal communication skills
• Possess exceptional attention to detail and an innate focus on accuracy
• Comfortable learning new computer software and web publishing tools
• Proficient with social media and social media marketing
• At least three years of writing/reporting experience at the professional level
• BA/BS degree, preferably in journalism, marketing and/or communications, or equivalent intellectual development or work experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle multiple tasks, work independently, consistently meet deadlines and prioritize projects
