SUMMARY:
Assist the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) in facilitating and guiding UIHS in meeting mission and vision. Provide administrative and back-up credentialing/privileging support by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administrative: Assist in developing and coordinating existing clinic policies in order for clinic to maintain certification by meeting AAAHC, CAL-OSHA, Title 22, and other accreditation standards. Assist the CCO in implementing and providing a safety program for Clinical Services and conducting site inspections.
Maintain and track clinic facility licensures for the organization.
Maintain organizational documents in the “Institutional Documentation” electronic files.
Coordinate and perform general maintenance for GSA vehicles assigned to Clinical Services.
Assist the CCO in preparing documents, reports, and proposals.
Coordinate peer reviews overseen by the Quality Improvement Director and maintains provider files.
Compile statistical data and write narrative reports summarizing findings.
Assist in the development of forms and help maintain a system for approved forms for the organization.
Record, transcribe, type and distribute minutes of various committee and team meetings, as assigned.
Maintain files and filling systems, including policies and policy manual.
Compose and type routine correspondence, reports, proposals, and various paper work as required.
Compose and develop various documents for Clinical Services, including, brochures, educational handouts, display boards, etc.
Assist with maintenance and filing of administrative correspondence and records.
Answer and give information to callers or route calls to appropriate persons in a professional manner.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating conferences, and workshops, and other related travel.
Assist in preparing conference rooms and associated needs for scheduled meetings and events.
Attend department meetings and other assigned meetings.
Credentialing and Privileging
Coordinate with Credentialing Coordinator and assist with tracking and reporting on credentialing and privileging activities.
General
Maintain a professional, organized, and clean working environment by following organizational policies, guidelines, and safety standards.
Assist in development of department policy, procedures, and quality improvement activities within the clinic as directed.
Adhere to compliance and accreditation standards/guidelines.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform backup coverage for receptionist by answering the main telephone. Screen and route calls to appropriate person or division. Take accurate messages and distributes to appropriate person or division.
Serve as a resource person for Clinical Operations and UIHS.
Adhere with the standards of conduct, compliance and accreditation standards and guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Educational degrees must be from a US Department of Education accredited school
Associates (AA/AS) Degree and Three (3) years related healthcare experience; or
High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years related experience and/or training; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience managing corporate documents.
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
