The Community Development Director will be passionate about planning for the future of Palm Coast and fostering development that helps meet the cities vision. This position articulates expectations, develops strategy, analyzes, and evaluates results to drive improvements to the City's development processes. They will lead and inspire a team of dedicated planners, building officials, code enforcement officials, and professional staff. Develops strategies to advance City Council key initiatives and priorities related to improving the perception of the City's business friendliness, while maintaining the City's high standards for the built environment. This position will also foster interdepartmental relationships and external partnerships to further some of these key initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field; supplemented by more than eight (8) years professional experience in the field, to include four (4) years within a supervisory/management capacity; or demonstrate an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
