The Director of Marketing & Community Engagement provides direction and leadership to the health system’s interactions, communication or otherwise, with our communities in support of the Mission and Strategic Vision of the organization. These efforts include traditional and non-traditional marketing, outreach events, public/community relations functions and development of annual marketing tactical plans in alignment with organizational growth targets.
Evaluates and implements systems and processes that enhance the image of the organization within the community through a broad spectrum of approaches, including development of printed marketing pieces, working with news media and through analysis of market data relative to projected/existing health system services. Responsible for brand management and tracks trends and improve community impression of the organization on all platforms. Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with all division, departments, community and professional organizations, other health care providers, affiliated organizations and the medical staff.
Directs crisis management communication strategies and ensures appropriately trained personnel are available in emergencies as Public Information Officer (PIO). Works directly with multiple members of the executive team regarding internal communications of sensitive or strategic intent. Provides oversight to department responsibilities for IRS-required Community Health Needs Assessment, coordinating resources to communicate across the system.
