Being a Top Construction Executive manages financial processes like forecasting, estimating, budgeting, and cost control to ensure profitability. Builds effective teams and the capacity to estimate, scope, design, plan, organize and implement construction projects. Additionally, Top Construction Executive represents the organization in discussions and negotiations with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Identifies risk and implements insurance and risk control strategies. Monitors costs and timelines to deliver projects on time and within budget. Evaluates and implements new or innovative construction methods and systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to top management. The Top Construction Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. The superintendent will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and documenting all day-to-day job site activities, including daily communicating issues, events, performance, problems, and progress to the Project Manager and facilitating the most cost-effective solutions to situations that may arise. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to military installations.Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction with at least 7 of those years as a superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity in all phases of heavy commercial construction experience.
- Primarily responsible for managing subcontractors and coordinating day-to-day production and schedule adherence on the project.
- Must be on-site at all times during the performance of the assigned projects until the work is completed and accepted.
- Must have experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
- Must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
- Skills: Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite software, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, problem solve, supervise, organize, blueprint reading, and schedule knowledge.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to military installations.
- The ability to travel with possible short-term relocation, as required.
