Position Title: Commercial-Business and Real Estate Intern

Department: Commercial Cleveland LPO office

Position Reports to: Commercial

Position Supervises: None 

Position Summary: 

Performs various assignments to assist and support the Commercial & Industrial Group, Treasury Management and Real Estate Department in the overall daily operations.  Performs various assignments related to commercial banking.   

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Duties will include data entry, work on financial models, assist with marketing database, and assisting in day to day operations. The candidate will get exposed to risk assessment models, underwriting metrics, and sales activities that are directly related to commercial banking

• Performs various assignments to assist and support the Commercial Department in the overall daily operations 

• Participate and meet clients in a variety of situations

• Review and Input Renewal Applications of existing clients

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

• Completes other duties as assigned

• Risk assessment duties

Education, Certification, License and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Actively pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.  The candidate must have a minimum of two completed accounting courses and introductory course work in their area of major

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

• Professional with internal and external customers

• Minimum understating of accounting principles and base understanding of financial concepts

• Must be able to handle multiple priorities and assignments and a moderate to heavy workload

• Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Right to Financial Privacy,  and Fair Lending 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment in Cleveland, Ohio. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. 

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand or sit for long periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.   The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity. Ability to drive a vehicle for travel is required for the position.
