We’re seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Loan Servicing Specialist I! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in performing a variety of consumer or residential mortgage loan servicing functions.

You’ll be responsible for either consumer or residential mortgage servicing, and will be an effective resource for the Loan Operations department through your understanding of the Core Processing System, audit requirements, and federal and state regulations.

Essential pieces of the position:

• Sets up and edits consumer or residential mortgage loans to our Core Processing System, ensuring data integrity.
• Performs post-closing quality control on all new consumer or residential mortgage loan documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Conducts compliance review of all loan documentation to verify regulations are being followed.
• Processes transactions related to the servicing of consumer or residential mortgage loans
• Supports all front-line staff; via phone, e-mail, etc.
• Provides support to retail teams and works directly with customers regarding consumer or residential mortgage loan servicing.
• Monitors incomplete files and follows up with closing agents or lenders as necessary and ensures liens are perfected.
• Processes payoff requests for consumer and residential mortgage loans.
• Assists the Indirect Servicing Team, as needed
• Monitors the billing cycle to ensure accurate billing and payment application. Processes paid loans. Partners with agencies and lenders as needed to support various loan programs.
• Performs scanning, filling and other administrative duties as required.
• Exhibits regular and punctual attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Loan servicing experience preferred.
• Possesses a solid understanding of financial institution products and services, along with familiarity of back office systems.
• Maintains a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrates outstanding organizational skills.
• Adept at prioritizing and organizing work flows with consistently good attention to detail.
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service skills
• Maintains the ability to work independently while remaining self-motivated.
• Exemplifies a positive and collaborative attitude as part of a dynamic team.

Working Conditions:

Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards.

Minimal physical effort required; normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis; handling of light materials and supplies.
