Top Corporate Compliance Executive provides leadership and direction for an organization's compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices. Ensures that all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as any industry-specific or location-specific laws. Being a Top Corporate Compliance Executive oversees internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes. Develops risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Additionally, Top Corporate Compliance Executive evaluates and implements changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations. Establishes communication and training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Corporate Compliance Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Top Corporate Compliance Executive typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Come be part of the team as the Semiconductor, Innovation and Investment Executive. 

    Develop and execute a strategy to land semiconductor industry investments in Michigan as part of the state of Michigan’s ‘Make It In Michigan’ economic development strategy focused on People, Places and Projects. A key element of the Projects part of the ‘Make It In Michigan’ is competing for and winning more opportunities across specific focus sectors. The semiconductor value chain is one the state’s focus areas for deploying financial and programmatic resources. Lead, optimize, collaborate on and deploy the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) sector development strategy and activities for growing the semiconductor industry in Michigan; promotes available MEDC and State programs and resources for the industry cluster; analyzes industry trends and technologies; analyzes, identifies, develops and cultivates a portfolio of companies and industry leaders for retention, expansion, or new investment in Michigan; helps to identify new sectors for potential development; establishes long-term supply chain development strategies; identifies, and executes strategies to drive semiconductor federal funding into Michigan.

    This position may work a hybrid (remote/in-office) schedule. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.   
     Education:  This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related industry-specific field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
     
    Experience:  This position requires a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training in the assigned industry, management, business, business technology, technical sales, public speaking and/or project management. Applicant should have relevant semiconductor industry experience; an advanced understanding of the industry including its segments, technology nodes, business trends; and substantial contacts.NOTE: THIS IS A MEDC CORPORATE POSITION - THIS IS NOT A STATE OF MICHIGAN CLASSIFIED POSITION.
