Evening Cashier

Reports To : Store Manager, Shift Lead

Position Summary :

Boomtown Cashiers are primarily responsible for providing Boomtown Customer Service to our patrons while maintaining an accurate log of item and cash movements.

Cashiers are also responsible for food and coffee production. Cashiers are responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming gas station convenience store and will assist in stocking and merchandising when necessary.

Most of all, cashiers will be responsible for contributing to our fun, high functioning team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to store & help with shopping experience
• Quickly and accurately ring customer purchases
• Maintain a balanced till, and keep a record of purchases, returns, spoiled goods, and other tracked inventories
• Inform customers of Boomtown Loyalty program and any current offers
• Accurately operate gas dispensers
• Verify age of customer if purchasing alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, lottery, or any other age-restricted items
• Maintain the outlook of the store through dusting, cleaning, and restocking merchandise on the shelves.
• Clean 3 bathrooms once per shift according to cleaning schedule
• Check and / or remove indoor trash once per shift according to cleaning schedule
• Sweep and mop as needed or scheduled
• Prepare, heat, serve and monitor foodservice items in accordance with local health standards
• Assist in other projects as requested
• Arrive on-time, ready to work, and be an active part of the team.
• Securely close store and perform nightly cleaning duties
