Iberia Medical Center (IMC) is currently looking for a Human Resources Intern for the Spring 2024 semester.  This position will be able to learn the day to day complex workings of the Human Resources department within a healthcare facility. The HR Intern is responsible for assisting the HR department with administrative and HR related tasks as well as the opportunity to work on a large scale Human Resources project over the semester. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Current attendance for an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field

 ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the HR team in daily HR-related tasks
• Coordinate HR activities and events with oversight by HR team
• Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, answering phones, filing, etc
• Assist HR leadership with special projects, as needed by departmental goals
• Supports and implements the organization's vision, mission and values.
• Proficiency in using computers, software and web-based applications, MS Office suite, etc...
• Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
