Animal Services in Pensacola needs a full-time Certified or Experienced veterinarian technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a modern and positive work environment with a company that has a fun company culture.

What you’ll be doing to make an impact:

• Duties of the job would include IV catheter placement, blood draws, intubation, surgery and anesthesia monitoring, CT and X-ray, and in-house diagnostics.
• The facility has a canine rehabilitation department that includes underwater therapy, laser therapy, and nutrition.
• The other duties of a veterinary technician such as rooms, restraint, and animal husbandry are included as well.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Current license in the State of Florida to practice veterinary medicine (preferred)
• Ability to work well within the frenetic nature of the shelter environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proven organizational, time management, and planning skills required
• Ability to communicate skillfully and effectively with a culturally diverse staff, volunteers, and community in a professional, pleasant, and respectful manner at all times
• Maturity with ability to use good judgment and display a professional manner
• Standing for extended periods
• Exposure to high noise levels
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Subject to animal bites and scratches
