Our confidential client is seeking an Executive Director to lead the start-up of a new 501(c)(6) organization focused on strengthening Maine’s workforce development efforts in support of one of the state’s largest manufacturing sectors. The position will be based in the Portland, Maine area.
As its first leader, the executive director will work closely with the Board of Directors to determine the initial structure and focus of the organization, and then develop longer-term plans and secure funding sources to ensure long-term organization sustainability.
The role requires a visionary leader who will thrive in all facets of a start-up environment, from developing strategic plans to managing day-to-day tasks as they are building the organization.
