    Parks/Pipestem Resort State Park/Summers County Under general supervision, the incumbent in the position performs full performance supervisory work overseeing the staff and operations of the McKeever Lodge Front Desk at Pipestem Resort State Park. This employee will operate a 24/7 department consisting of the lodge front desk that handles all lodging desk operations for the McKeever Lodge, Mt. Creek Lodge, and vacation cottages.

    This employee shall provide, and require that departmental employees provide exceptional hospitality and outstanding customer service through positive interactions with guests, visitors, and potential guests of the resort as well as the State Parks system. This employee will also be responsible for the efficient operations of this department and must have the ability to effectively plan, schedule, assign, and coordinate the work of four full-time and 3 seasonal employees performing multiple tasks and functions in the operation of this department.

    This employee will interview potential employees; recommend hiring new employees; train new employees in proper work methods and procedures; perform employee performance evaluations; prepare work schedules; prepare payroll for employees under their supervision; approve annual leave and sick leave; perform disciplinary action; ensure that equipment, supplies, and materials are available to complete work; represent the front desk operations at monthly staff meetings; and keep employees under their supervision updated on expectations, policies, practices, and procedures.

    Further, this employee will perform periodic inspections and spot-checks to ensure that lodge rooms and cabin facilities and amenities are clean, stocked, and will exceed customer expectations; and will cooperatively work with other departments to ensure excellent customer service and hospitality.

    Must be available to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends. Performs related work as required. Regular attendance is required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Training: Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent.

    Experience: Four years of full-tim must have been in a lead worker or administrative support capacity.

    Substitution: Course work from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience up to four years for non-trade positions. Substitution for Business/Trade Positions: Completion of a course accredited by the Department of Education may be substituted for experience at the rate of 1,080 hours per year. OR Completion of a related trade union-sponsored apprenticeship program may be substituted for equivalent amount of full-time experience.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $26,333.00 - $48,716.00 per year
