      PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Plans, coordinates and carries out various projects and tasks for the Information Technology Department. Assignments can be broad in nature and require independent judgment and a high level of organizational skills. Requires extensive knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, regulations and ensures compliance.


      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None


      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
      • Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
      • Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
      • Prepare a variety of correspondence, memorandums, minutes, reports, and other material often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
      • Prepares forms, charts, tables, and spreadsheet reports as required.
      • Prepare purchase requisitions and conduct inventories as needed.
      • Prepare payroll attendance sheets for signature and approval.
      • Review documents/reports for accuracy.
      • Utilizes professional judgment to screen calls, route calls and relay telephone messages.
      • Greets, assists, and screens visitors, parents, and students.
      • Organizes the office for efficiency.
      • Prepares quarterly reports, board presentations, cabinet presentations, and other reports requiring technology use.
      • Creates flyers, district-wide announcements, presentations and inter-office memorandums.
      • Process office mail including routing to proper sources.
      • Schedules appointments and organizes meetings for administrators.
      • Makes travel arrangements for administrators.
      • Process requests for reimbursement.
      • Review technology contracts for adherence to district requirements and prep for approval process.
      • Manage the Data Privacy Agreement process for software applications.
      • Applies information or explains interpretation concerning departmental or district policies, rules, and regulations.

      QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED required. Associates degree preferred. In addition, advanced computer knowledge and experience required. Previous experience administratively supporting a technology department is a plus.

      WORK CALENDAR: 12 Months


      WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
