Information Technology Associate

  • We are seeking a talented and experienced Information Technology Associate to join our dynamic team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting computers, servers, access points, printers, tablets, IP Phones, Access Doors, Security Cameras, time clocks, and network switches in our healthcare environment.  As an Information Technology Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining, updating, and replacing our software solutions, ensuring that they meet the high standards of reliability and performance.
    Core Responsibilities
    • Working with IT Manager, help design and implement computer systems and networks tailored to healthcare environments, ensuring high levels of security, privacy, and compliance with industry regulations.
    • Perform thorough testing and validation of computer systems and peripherals to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration with existing healthcare infrastructure.
    • Install and configure new or replacement computer equipment, Access Points, switches, firewalls, IP Phones, and medical equipment.
    • Onboard and offboard employees when requested by department managers.
    • Install and configure system and application software.
    • Update computers with new software images as they become available or as needed to mitigate problems and risks.
    • Follow required documentation related to inventory, license tracking, equipment placement, and returns.
    • Perform computer troubleshooting on both hardware and software issues.
    • Call and schedule hardware and software maintenance for repair of defective equipment under maintenance or warranty with the appropriate vendors.
    • Update ticketing system to reflect the support provided.

    Minimum Requirements
    • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.  
    • 2 years of proven experience in Information Technology.
    • Thorough knowledge of computers, printers, Server, virtual servers, access points, switches, IP Phones.
    • 2 years of experience working with VOIP Phones.
    • 5 years of experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook, SharePoint, MS Teams).
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows Products (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11).
    • Strong understanding of DHCP, DNS, WAN, LAN, and TCP/IP
    • Some experience with virtual environments (Oracle Box, VMWare, MS Azure, or AWS)
    • Excellent communications and writing skills.

    Working Conditions
    • Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm.
    • Occasional after-hours work with approval from IT Manager.
    • After the completion of hands-on training with the IT manager for the first several weeks, the ITA will be deployed and stationed in our Salians location full-time unless coverage is needed occasionally at our Monterey office.
    • ITA is responsible for opening and resolving tickets in a timely fashion.
    • All IT assets and supplies at the Salinas location need to be stocked and ready for deployment.
    • Daily morning meetings via phone or live chat to discuss the status of open issues and prioritize tickets.
